Started wiring the BME280 to the ESP32 over I2C today. Got inconsistent humidity readings out of the box — turned out to be a faulty breakout board, not a code issue. Swapped to a second BME280 and readings stabilized within expected range (±3% RH accuracy). Next step: get the OLED display rendering live values before moving to enclosure design.
