Most writeups only show the finished thing. I'd rather show the version that didn't work the first time — the wiring that got redone, the part that got reprinted — because that's the version that's actually useful to the next person trying the same build.
What's actually in the toolbox
A working mix of hardware and software: microcontrollers and sensors on one side, the code, CAD files, and automation that tie them together on the other. Less about chasing whatever's trending, more about reaching for what actually gets a build finished.
Outside the builds
Techkyman is the public-facing part of a much longer list of things that get tinkered with, taken apart, and occasionally put back together correctly. Not every project makes it to a writeup — this is just the part worth sharing.
The parts most writeups leave out
I remember what it's like to follow a tutorial that skips the part where it actually goes wrong. Every project here gets written up with the failed attempt still in it, on purpose — that's usually the part that saves someone else the most time.
